I have recently installed Transmission (via the instructions on This Site) on my AppleTV making it my 24/7 torrent box (and Boxee box). While I love the program and the clutch web interface I have one problem. I have a 40GB atv which I why I store all of my media on Time Capsule. Boxee plays nice with my TC (I have it connected via ethernet wire as they're near each other). Transmission however won't let me send the completed files to the TC.

I've tried to use the same smb://IPADDRESS/Time Capsule/ setting that Boxee uses and that didn't work. The instructions on the previously hotlinked site says to use /Volumes/NAMEOFYOUREXTDRIVE, that didn't work at all.

Did I miss a step in order to send the completed files to my TC. Do I need to have it hooked up via ethernet & USB? Please advise.

Maybe I'm in the wrong forum? Can someone direct me to the proper outlet to request this information?

AlexisLG,

whay I do is having nitoTV mount by AFP my TC drive at boot (go to nittotv documentation or browse http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/NitoTV_Take_2).

Then on the web interface (you'll have it if you followed http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/Transmission_on_AppleTV) in the lower left, click and then go to preferences -> Download to and put the directory where your TC drive is mounted. In my case is

/mnt/Scratch/Users/frontrow/Movies/Data/.

the only problem is that both the ongoing and final files will be there, but well, it is not a problem for me.

I don't use the ATV hard drive at all. I don't like to lose my movies when the patchstick go all wrong ;).

Awesome. Thanks for your help. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out exactly how to get NitoTV to work. This 1.0 recovery ******** is taking forever for me to figure out. I'm out in t-rnt hell trying to find it. I usually only dwnld from mininova and now that pbay is out, I can't find it anywhere reputable. If anyone has a direct link they can PM it would be helpful.

I'll update as progress goes.

BTW: in hindsite I should have just gotten a mac mini
