Is it possible to clear the folder's background or add a blur effect to it?
It would be cool, if this works for the icons too :)

I know springtomize lets you hide the background of the icon but doesn't hide it once you open the folder. I'd also like to know this if anyone has any suggestions

Just purchased folderEnhancer and there's an option to hide the background image. Works great!

latest FolderEnhancer go to Appearance/Folder Background/ Use Image File Off, than respring

Also use FolderIcons to turn background image for folders off on your springboard.

Check this out! Gives a blurry folder background effect like BlurriedNCSettings
