I remember reading somewhere that apple put support for a transparent menu bar up on top in the 10.5.2 update? i can't find this option anywhere? is this maybe not possible on an ibook?

This is totally possible, I am looking at the transparent menu bar on my iBook G4 as I type... :D

Haha, I totally lied! Its not an option in my System Preferences/Display. Wow! I didn't know this, Apple must have not added this functionality in their iBooks.

I think the last generation supports Core Image so can support it, but only Intel Macs can switch it off. See [guide]Solidifying the Menu Bar in Leopard[/guide] if you want to switch it off.
