This issue has been bugging me for a while. When you go to take a screenshot, you know how you can press command+shift+4 followed by the spacebar to take a shot of a window? Well, I have two displays (late 2008 20" iMac running 10.5.8 and a 17" Dell DVI display), and the shortcut only works properly on the second display. On my main display, when I press the spacebar, the entire screen highlights, rather than a single window. Taking a shot of that results in a 1680x1050 transparent PNG file appearing on my desktop. It's like my entire display is covered by one enormous invisible window. Command+shift+3 works normally (two image files appear on the desktop, one of each display), as does the bandbox select with command+shift+4.
I don't expect to get a solution since I'm sure very few people are even in a position to notice/reproduce the problem, but one would certainly be nice.
