Transparent status bar help

I am trying to make my status bar in my theme transparent, so that it shows the wallpaper, instead of the solid black bar.

So far i've tried downloading "Clear status Bar" and "Transparent Statusbar" to use in winterboard. Neither of those work.

I've also tried creating transparent pngs and uploading them to the folders below

Kirby.theme > Statusbar.png
Kirby.theme > Bundles > com.apple.springboard > Default_BG.png, FSO_BG.png, FST_BG.png

Everything is entered in as shown above.

How can I make it so that this theme has a transparent status bar? Am I doing something wrong?
