Transplanting Super Drive

Has anyone ever moved a G5 Super Drive over to a MacPro?
Id like to make good use of a dead G5 tower and add another Super Drive to a MacPro.
I havent even opened it up yet.

if theyre both ide superdrives then shouldnt be a problem.

rules out the MP2009 tho - since thats a sata superdrive.

unless you get an ide to sata adaptor - but i'd say you'd be better of with a new drive if you have a MP2009
