Transporterprefs prf file

After downloading a trial version on electric image that did not work, I have deleted it. Some of the apps could not be removed by appcleaner so I had to remove the entire folder that they were in. After checking my library I noticed this file, never seen before. The name. Transporterprefs prf What does this file mean? Its an mpeg file! Quicktime would not open it.

This was an odd and uneasy experience and I have since deleted this app. Some of the files were locked and had to be unlocked (a first for me) and one file was still running. I could not see why that was so. I restarted, and was able to proceed from there.
