Trash is emptying really slow

Hi!
For some reason it takes forever to empty the trash on my MacBook. Does anyone know how I can speed it up? Its really quick on my iMac, so thats why I noticed it going a lot slower on the laptop.

I dont think it was this slow when I first got it.

Any help is appreciated.

Have you checked option "Empty Trash securely" in Finder Preferences? If so, then emptying Trash may be really slowly...
