I'm sure theres a simple fix for this, but I certainly can't figure out what it is...

My trash can icon is full. I empty it, it stays full. I option+empty, it stays full. Finder is reporting 0bytes for 1 item which I cant see. It's irritating me.

Help??

There might be a hidden locked file - open Terminal and type:
ls -la ~/.Trash

Ok, nothing there. It looks like you may have found an OS X bug. Try logging out and back in again.

By the way, does Rebecca know you're using her MacBook Pro?

LOL. That would be me. jackiecane was hooverphonic album.

And, for what it's worth, it started earlier. I even did an archive and install (I was going to anyway) and its still there. Logging out doesn't help.

Hmm, ok. Try deleting .Trash - type in Terminal:
rm -rf .Trash

Then logout and back in. That'll recreate the .Trash folder.
