I have just had a clear out on my macbook and now want to empty the trash. It has emptied three quarters of it, but wont get rid of the rest. When I click empty it begins, but closes the trash app straight away. Is there anything I can do to sort this?

Thanks in advance
Richard

try restarting and try emptying the trash again. If it still doesnt empty pull the stuff out of the trash and run disk utility to check permissions... there may be an issue and that may correct it... then throw them away again.

I have found the guilty file and the suggestions on the Apple website dont resolve the issue. I have removed it from the trash until its emptied but not sure how im gonna get rid after.
