last friday evening i swapt 2 directories with ca. 20 GB of CANVAS-files and misc-files into the trash and (what a fool i am) emptied the trash...
what i´ve done next:
-1st-i recognized what i´ve done
-2nd-i damned myself
-3rd-i shut down my bowerbook immediately
-4th-i bought DATA RESCUE II the next morning
-5th-i started my powerbook under targed mode, connected my old mac, and started your software...
-i was amazed: many jpgs and tiffs was there again, but still not all... (´bout 50% are missed)-
-NONE (spell N-O-N-E) of my Canvas-files (.CVX) are found...-also i´m lost now.
you will surely ask why i didn´t make a image or a back-up of my important files, i also do...

the files have to be still on harddisk? - i just emptied the trash...

now let me inform you ´bout the hard- and software i´m using...
system: MAC OS X 10.4.11
hard: powerbook 1,67g, 80mb disk, hfs+ formated, 22 gb free (now)
soft: Canvas (Deneba Systems, now ACDsee) version X, 9 and 6,(.CVN,.CVX)
files: jpg,tif,cnv,cvx
some files sized are more then 200 mb, some of them are less then 1 mb...
rec.-code for drII: 5100-5248-002-7791-2
and, for my shame, the last backup available is ´bout 2 years old...
