I just set up my iPhone's Mail automatically to receive my Gmail emails, and I also turned on iCloud. My inboxes appear to sync between my iPhone and Mac, but if I delete an email on my iPhone, it disappears entirely. I don't see it in the trash on my Mac, and I don't see it in the trash on my iPhone. Is something ill-configured? and/or how can I fix this? I prefer to have all of my messages remain in the trash; I never purge them. I'd also like any messages sent on my iPhone to appear in my sent folder on my Mac.

Thanks.
