Trashed Safari, what to do?

My friend trashed Safari hoping to reinstall it cause he was having trouble with it.

How do we get safari back on his machine?

Redownload it from Apple.

He downloaded it from http://www.apple.com/safari/download/

and when he tried to install it "it said I needed a leopard 10.5.2 or newer and i have the newest leopard"

I had this same problem a few weeks ago (and so have others since then)


You need to redownload the 10.5.4 combo updater. Safari for said version (10.5.4) is in the combo updater. The downloadable version of Safari on apple.com is not compatible.
