Traveling (France) and Apple Pay

I am from the USA, but will be traveling in France for the next few weeks.
Will Apple Pay just work for me over there? I know it's accepted in more places in Europe than in the USA, but am just wondering if it will work even though my credit cards are all US.

Sure, als long as the store accepts the card brand and accepts NFC payments it should work.
It's always handy to keep your physical cards ands some cash with you.
