I'm heading overseas for a business trip, and already have an unlocked GSM phone. I plan on using my iPhone exclusively for its iPod capabilities. Will leaving on airplane mode be enough to disable all phone and data functions? I ask because I've noticed in the past that my phone seems to have the tendency to "slip" out of airplane mode.

Any thoughts on a surefire way to make sure my phone doesn't attempt to seek a data or GSM connection?

Just take out the sim to be 100%
Everything wil work besides the phone, edge and sms.
