Traveling to America looking for a free unlock

I am currently with T-Mobile UK with the iPhone 5 still in contract, I am traveling to America in June looking to use my phone on the cheapest GSM carrier. Is there anyway of getting a free unlock from T-Mobile/EE?

I wouldn't think there would be some secret to this. Call up tmobile and see if they will do it for you. If not, they are a couple of bucks, really cheap.

Seriously mate its cost £20 to get it done official with t mobile much better than any of the free jailbreak methods or r-sims
