Hey all,
I know this might be another "cool story bro" type threads, but I just want to say how useful my Apple Watch was in Canada. I'm from the U.S. and have Apple Pay set up. I was surprised to see at how ubiquitous Apple Pay acceptance was. Almost every store had a tap to pay machine and if it did, it worked. No problem.

My cell phone did not have data so notifications were out the window, but as a straight up watch it worked very well.

I love this device.

Makes me wonder how come ApplePay is still not available for us canadian customers...must be legal reasons behind this, because as melman101 we've had contactless payment pretty everywhere for quite a few years...I'm currently using PayPass 95% of the time!

Nice to see it worked well for you though! :)

We are getting Apple Pay in the fall. (October/November) in Canada.

That's good to know! My wife and I live 30 miles from Canada, so we have Nexus passes to make it convenient to visit. Our local grocery store also just got Apple Pay. Now if the local breweries would follow suit I could get in and out with my growler refills that much faster ;-)
