This is weird. I have my home directory on my finder sidebar. I noticed today that the navigation triangles are missing for top level directories in there. Somehow I have a couple of them expanded and those subdir trees are fine. If I navigate to my home dir from the root of the disk (or another way), it works fine - only if I access via the sidebar.

Any ideas what just happened? Did I twiddle a bit by accident?

err, so i added a new directory in finder to my home dir, and now it all works again. who knows.
