Hi All,
Been a loyal reader here for ages but have to admit defeat here and ask the experts for help
At work in windows we trick Microsoft Lync to working with communicator server with a registry edit:
Found on a blog:
In one of my earlier post I commented on how to connect to OCS (R2) using the Lync client. Now with the release of the new Lync 2013 client, this work-around doesnt work anymore. But there is a new one. To use the Lync 2013 client with an older server-version like OCS 2007, just add the following registry key (create it, because it does not exist):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\DisableServerCheck
This is a DWORD key and it should be set to 1.
___________
I need to urgently find out if this is at all possible to do the same trick in OS X ? I have deleted my bootcamp and all up and running using OSX. Id really prefer to only use OS X instead of windows at all.
Many thanks !
