Hi All,

Been a loyal reader here for ages but have to admit defeat here and ask the experts for help :)

At work in windows we trick Microsoft Lync to working with communicator server with a registry edit:

Found on a blog:

In one of my earlier post I commented on how to connect to OCS (R2) using the Lync client. Now with the release of the new Lync 2013 client, this “work-around” doesn’t work anymore. But there is a new one. To use the Lync 2013 client with an older server-version like OCS 2007, just add the following registry key (create it, because it does not exist):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\DisableServerCheck

This is a DWORD key and it should be set to “1”.

___________

I need to urgently find out if this is at all possible to do the same trick in OS X ? I have deleted my bootcamp and all up and running using OSX. Id really prefer to only use OS X instead of windows at all.

Many thanks !
