tried 3.0 to 2.2.1, stuck in iTunes recovery mode, dunno what to do

What now? I got error 1013, tried doing quickpwn instructions so it detects the phone but the screen on my iphone is stuck on the usb to iTunes logo and it wont go any further.

Can the genius tell i put 3.0 on there at one point if its stuck in this mode and nothing can be done? i thought 3.0 to 2.2.1 was possible.

The 3.0 GM Seed specifically says you cannot downgrade to an earlier OS version. You did RTFM, being a developer and all?

You need to wait until the official firmware is released next week and try again.

In future don't mess with stuff you can't handle

i just ran into this same problem today

god i was scared

you need to downgrade to 2.2

then upgrade to 2.2.1

for whatever reason going from 3.0 to 2.2.1 will result in 1013 that cant be fixed by holding power+home for 15 seconds to reset

but going 3.0 to 2.2.1 to 2.2 then doing power+home for 15 worked

No. If you're in Windows, use Quickpwn to jailbreak and kick it back into regular mode. If you're in Mac OS X, use iRecovery to kick it back into regular mode.

Personally it was alot easier for me to just put 3.0 back on it. Took a few minutes. The Genius will send you away with a 1 800 number to dev support.
