I have spent over 100 dollars already on cases, I have tried:

the bumper - causes scratches
Ifrogz - will NOT fit with screen protector
Sonix - snap in not much protection for drop
No name plastic case - garbage

Rocketfish™ Mobile - Case - This is the case I now use exclusively, nice
thick rubber that will definatly protect in any fall, not too tight around the screen so no chance of scratching. Fits beautifully with the screen protector. Feels great in your hand and its 15 dollars at Best Buy!

That is my reccomendation try it and you will see what I mean.

To each his/her own, but IMO that case is ugly as sin.

Oh yeah, how about the accessory forum?

Agree on both counts.

The Rocketfish is my emergency case until my regular one comes in. For me tt's too thick, feels amazingly cheap and looks like a 'bejewled' game on the back cover.

But to each their own.

I think he got the one that's the big chunky black silicon. I've seen yours too, hey in a crunch it's better than nothing. In theory since it's Best Buy you could just return it within 30 days after you get a better case.

Slightly shady but within their policy. I've yet to see a Rocket Fish case that isn't hideous. lol

yes should be moved to accessories section

ive tried a bunch too and IMO its the best...fits the best, perfect mix of tacky/goes in and out of pocket easily, doesn't make phone too much fatter, good cutouts for all speakers/bottons and the best thing is all headphones and cords/docks fit without an issue (at least I have yet to find one). Some cases show scratches, others sag, others are too sticky, and others are too fat. i think this is the perfect mix. and honestly I don't think the clear one is that ugly. maybe my friends are liars but they offered compliements from the minute it was on my phone:apple::apple:

bumper

Read thru the threads dirt get in the edges and causes major scratches on the aluminum band

I have one of these and like it. The only issue is that it must be removed before taking a flash picture. The picture gets washed out if you don't.

agree

I agree with the flash point. other then that the protection is perfect.

The biggest problem I had with all the cases I tried was interfering with the screen protector and scratches being caused by the case.

Will post a pic

That's not inconvenient at all....
Actually its not. The case comes off easy enough to take the picture. Only takes half a second.

I was never a big fan of cases that go on the iPhone and lock in place. I want to be able to take it off quickly if needed such as placing the phone on docks and stuff like that. This case is thick and would protect the iPhone from a nasty fall. I like it a lot except for the flash issue.

Reveal

That Reveal case is just like the Bumper. No back protection as you can see and god help you if you drop it!

Yeahhhhh boy.

I've had two different bumpers on my phone since launch, and I don't have a single scratch.

The Rocketfish case looks like Northern Quilted toilet paper. But I'm glad you like it.

Also, as someone else pointed out, accessories section? There are already about 1,000 threads on this very subject.

The Reveal does have back protection. It is clear plastic. Every case is going to cause scratches over time as particles get between the case and the phone.

I am using the Reveal now, but if I find something better, I'll switch. Went through three cases on my 3G before I found one I liked.

Reveal

Does theReveal case fit ok with a screen protector on?

Don't know since I don't use one. Have you considered going sans protector? I used one for a while on my 3G, but all it ever did was collect dust around the edges. Haven't used on in over a year with no scratches. I am pretty careful with my phone however.
