While i was installing Mountain lion dev prev 3, my Macbook Pro died i guess and ever since then (this happened during the late summer of 2012) when i boot it up i'll have the same grey screen logo and dial yes. but then sets up like i'm going to install software. asking for my language, then shows a box titled "OS X Utilities" which gives me 4 options. 1. Use a time machine back up (which i haven't invested in) 2. Use disk utility (I have repaired and verified my disk countless times) 3 Use the internet for help. (Thous comes in handy now)
4 Re install Mountain Lion (Which never works, gives the same pesky message when i try)
And if I click the "X" on the box. it will allow me to Select my Startup Disk (Which my HDD or anything else doesn't show)
i can also use terminal, firewall etc
I've contact apple customer service and they had me erase my 250g hdd -_____- which failed so I am making an appointment with apple later this week. they also said my hd might be failing I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similiar problem or might be able to tell me whats going on?
