tried to reset login password on Lion

i have friend, he is macbook pro owner with Mac OS X Lion inside, and he forgot the password login or maybe changed by her little brother,
and now can anyone tell me how to reset the password login without OS X DVD installer ? and is it possible?


Notes: I dont have OSX DVD installer
