trim video to selection

ok I was wondering if there was some FREE way I can trim videos to selection or can I download a program or anything? The only way I see is buying QT Pro?

When I just saw the thread title I was going to recommend QT pro. I think that's the best option and I doubt there's any free options.

Well you can do it with SimpleMovieX

This program works for free for unlimited time, but saving is 2x as slow as the registered version.
It can do what QuickTime Pro does and also editing of AVI, MPEG and MPEG-4 files.
