Hi,

I have a 2018 MBP with 32 GB memory and 2.9 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i9. I trim videos taken with my iphone using quicktime on my macbook. It worked perfect with this method when I trimmed videos taken with my iphone 12 pro max.

I tried the same thing with my 13 pro max, but it's giving me so much trouble! The video stutters and "hangs" and it's impossible to trim it! The MBP gets super hot with the fan on.

Can anyone tell me what could be the problem? Is it because the laptop can't handle the videos from the 13 PM?

Please help!

The 13 Pro Max can record ProRes video, which is a lot more data. The 12 does not. So are you recording in ProRes? That is all I can think of right now.

Thank you for your reply!

No, I am recording 4k 60 fps just like when I was recording with the 12pm.
