I want to have an iMac 27" hooked up two DELL U2311H monitors. One is to have another screen for my iMac and the other is for my PC.

The idea is to have this setup:

DELL showing PC -- iMac 17" -- DELL showing 2nd screen for iMac

When I move the mouse off the left screen, I want to have it then start operating my separate PC (not a Parallels version). The keyboard should switch too.

What cables and software do I need to buy to have this setup?

Thanks,

Jon

The PC is going to vary based on the graphics card, but I'm guessing you've got that one figured out. As for the iMac, you can buy:

- Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter
- Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter
- Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort

To hook up the monitor and then I would look into Synergy to use the same keyboard/mouse across the PC and Mac.

Can you clarify "my seperate PC"?

Do you have another PC physical box, or are you running something like Fusion 5 accessing Bootcamp?
