Trivial Date/Time Question in SL

Anyone tell me how to get the full date on top bar :

I had Mon Aug 31, 2009 4:31 PM before the upgrade

now
Mon Aug 31 4:31 PM after the upgrade....

Told you it was trivial and no amount of "Custom" changes in the setup changes the from no year to a year...Can someone tell me how to overcome ?? Thanks

Has no one tried to change the date format on the menu bar..??

Its just under Date & Time in preferences, then go to the clock tab. There you can turn up all the options you want to get the full date. Though I don't think there is an option for the year anymore - not that I can see.

It shows it in the "Custom Time" but doesn't transfer to the menu bar what ya picked it !! That seems to be my only prob with SL..!! Hey one other thing how to get that screen capture resized for posting using "Grab"...?? (Assuming that's what you used...)
