Trivial Posting Question

Whenever I post, in the lower right hand corner, next to the "Quote" button, it always shows the "Edit" button -- even when I have not made any edits to the post.

I assume I am doing something dumb (always a safe assumption) and doing something when I type my post that is causing this to happen.

No one else has has it in their post - so it makes me feel like a bigger dork than usual .

What am I doing wrong?

It is there so that YOU can edit YOUR posts, as only moderators and gods can edit posts of other people.

See below screenshot how my post looks to me and your posts looks to me.
It will be the other way around for you.

I was afraid that the Mod knew in advance that my posts would probably be dopey, and wanted to make it easy to be changed!

Only a tiny bit paranoid here.
