I have created clones on a 6TB USB drive. The partition lay out is p1. 3.64TB has 10.12.6 clone, p2.1.05TB time machine, p3 949.87GB 10.12.06 clone, p4 239.87GB 10.6.8 clone, p5 199.87GB 10.4.11 clone.
On my 13" MacbookPro 9,2 p1 boots ok, however, p3 is visible as startup disk in system preference, AND in recovery mode, BUT, it is not possible top boot from it in either case. To make it interesting, the same is true for an older 15" Macbook Pro (6,2).
I did find EFI updates, however, they won't run without OS 10.9.5..
Now, p1 and p3 BOTH boot correctly in recovery mode start up (Press power button and hold option key down) on a 13'powerbook 14,1.
Does anyone have any information on this, and, would it have any impact on a 4TB SSD I am planning to uas as a HD?
Does anyone know of the problem exists on machines that have been upgraded to 10.13?
