I'm trying to find a quick way to take .MTS files from my Panasonic HDC-SD9 camera and convert them to a Quicktime friendly file. I'm using a Macbook 2.4 Ghz with Quicktime Pro 7, Final Cut Express 4, and Toast 9.
Every time I convert the video, any fast movement gets blurred. I've attached a JPEG of a video frame of my son I took the other day, if you see his hand, that's my problem- it's blurred. In FCE, when I go frame by frame, it's not blurred, so it's doing it during compression.
How should I be compressing my video and avoid blurring?
Currently I've tried H.264 (720p and 1080i) and DV. Nothing has worked, I'm a newbie at this I guess and any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
