Hi sorry if this is wrong place but I am new to this forums. I am trying to connect my xbox 360 to my mac. But when I connect my mac to xbox using ethernet cable when xbox is on the internet on mac stops working. If xbox is turned off it works. When I disconnect the cable it starts working again. I do not know what is wrong this is what I did

System pref
Network
configure manually
IP address 10.0.0.1
subnet mask: 225.225.225.0

Sharing:
Share connection from airport
To computer using ethernet
and checked internet sharing

Please some help need to play some xbox live so bored and thank you very much happy holidays and god bless

Is the mac running from Wireless internet?

System Preferences > Sharing > Internet.

Turn it on, and select the option to share to other devices using "Ethernet"

I'm not sure why people try this stuff. Online gaming usually takes a lot, and it seems very inefficient to do it this way. I can't say for sure how it works because I never tried it.
