Trouble Exporting Poster Created in Pages to pdf

I created an 11X17 poster in iWorks8. When I exported it into a pdf file to take to get it printed, it did not export properly. When I try to open it up on my computer it opens fine. When I transfer it to another computer it only transports some of the graphics and text. The Adobe reader on the PC says there is an error and ask the creator to fix it. Only the Mac does not identify a problem when creating the pdf file.

Is there an option to export as PDF-X, either within Pages or through the Print Dialogue box? If so, try that to start with.
