I have had a couple instances when I am trying to eject the disc and the grahpic comes up that it is ejecting, but nothing happens. Generally I have to shut it down and then restart and then it will "catch". Any ideas why this might be happening. It isn't consistent...

Sometimes if DVD Player is still running it won't let you eject. But thats only helps if you have DVD player running.

This has happened a couple times to me as well and it has always been when the disc has been spinning/in use. Hitting Eject quickly seems to stop the disc from spinning and then if I hit the key again it ejects. However, I found that pushing and holding the Eject key for a fraction of a second longer does the trick right off the bat.

As I said though, this has only happened to me literally a couple times.

If your disc ever gets permanently stuck, upon reboot just hold down the left mouse button and it will eject.
