I've got a new iPad Air 4. On my 2020 Mac Mini, I've got a bunch of movies. They're in a "movies" folder in the same location as my music.
When I connect my iPad and click "Movies" it shows four of the movies, which I downloaded (bought) from iTunes. However, it doesn't show other movies I've owned for a long time, even though they're in the same folder. I copied those movies into the Home Movies folder under Movies/Tv/Media. However, when I try to sync with the iPad, only one of the 8 movies appears. They're all in the same format. Any idea how I can get these movies onto my iPad. (they're MPEG-4 format, just like all the others.

Also, when I try to sync the movies that I bought from iTunes, I get a message that the iPad is not authorized for the movies. But I read on the Internet that iPads don't need to be authorized. i can download the movies, but I can't sync them. Any idea why not?

I figured out a work around. I put my movies into the "Automatically add to TV" folder, and that seems to have worked.
