my problem is that i cant seem to get my videos of my sony dcr-sr45 camera. i dont have software for it but i cant plug it in with my usb. i can see the files but it wont let me open them. they say they are .mpg but when i try to open them it tells me its not a video file. any ideas on what to do?

To make it simple in the future, just use Google.com! Doing a search in Google just using the name provided by r.j.s above ("MPEG Streamclip"), led to this as the first result which is the site for the developer- http://www.squared5.com/
