Hi,

I am new to Mac having been a PC / windows user for years. I have had an iPad for a while and have made a couple of home movies using imovies. Now that I have the Mac, I'd like to use it to make the movies. I have one partially completed and have tried to import it to the Mac with little success. I have followed the guidance and have downloaded the project via iTunes. It is currently sat on my desktop and is just over 3gb. When I try to import it to imovies on the Mac it remains shaded and I can't select it.

I'm running Yosemite. Any thoughts?

Regards.

Jerry.

Hi Dave, yes I have followed those instructions up to............

Open iMovie on your Mac, and choose File > Import > iMovie for iOS Project.

I don't get that option. I only get the option to import media. After my original post I did a bit more searching for a solution and it appears this was identified in late 2014. Apparently Apple are aware that you cannot share between devices and we're going to sort it out. I'm guessing they haven't yet.

Jerry.
