Trouble importing Photos library Intel -> M1

I am cherry picking stuff out of my Time Machine backup folder. I tried to drag my photos library onto my new M1 Air and it is giving me a hard time.

Is this suppose to work or am I not able to drag and drop stuff from a time machine backup?

no it doesn't work this way, you have to use time machine to restore an item.
