Hi,

I installed a new 256GB SSD into my PowerBook G4 12-inch using an adaptor. It works very well and I am pleased with Tiger on it but when I go into the Disk Utility, it won't let me split the disk in half and make two partitions (I want to run Leopard on it as well but keep Tiger).

Is there a way around this, or does Tiger not let you partition disks or something?

Thank you.

"This disk contains the startup volume and can't be partitioned."

You need to boot from the install DVD and partition from there.

Thank you, I got it reinstalled, but I ended up partitioning it through an enclosure.
