I'm really frustrated, I have some video files I want to get off my HD to make room, and I have tried burning them onto a DVD disc, but after i do, the DVD disc wont read when I insert into my drive (yes, it reads DVDs) I burned it using Toast Titanium and even tried by using the New Burn Folder on Tiger (10.4.10) What can I do in order to make the DVD disc read once I have burned the files? I thank you for any help in advance!

Trouble reading .mp4 and .avi files burned to DVD disc

Need a bit more info first.
What type of disc did you burn? Data, video etc.
What type of disc did you use?
I burned it data, using maxell DVD-R. Im trying to burn about 30 video files in the above mentioned formats using this disc as a backup so i can pull from them later.
