Trouble restoring backup .dmg

I'm trying to use Disk Utility to restore a .dmg backup file stored on an external usb hard drive. The image is a read-only dmg and is 75gb.

When I try to restore the 75gb image to a 128gb SSD formatted in OS Extended (Journaled), Disk Utility says that there is not enough space on disk to restore.

Any ideas?
