Trouble Running Pandora Internet Radio On IMac

I am trying to play Pandora internet radio on my IMac. The website loads okay but it never actually plays. The same thing happens when I try to play Slacker internet radio.

Do I need to download some neww software or something?

Does sound work on your computer in general, or on YouTube?
