Trouble sending email

MBP retina15". Yosemite.

I'm trying to send a small email, containing nothing more than 2 YouTube links.

I've tried a number of email addresses incl. my own, and every time I get this in a message window:

" cannot send message. A copy has been placed in your outbox. The recipient xxxxx.com was rejected as the server does not allow relaying."

Anything I can do?

Sounds like your Mail setup is not right. You may be trying to connect to an unsecured mail server that's not on your ISP. Who is your mail provider?

You should uncheck and reenable Mail under iCloud in System Preferences.

Were you able to use your username/password at Apple - My Apple ID?

Did you check Mail's menu item Window and then in the drop-down select Connection Doctor? It will show you how you screwed up the server settings.
