Trouble Setting Up Canon Printer on New 12" Macbook

Canon MX870 wifi printer was not showing up as an available printer to setup. Downloading the drivers fixed this issue, but still cannot get the scanner to show up (even after downloading drivers).

Any thoughts or suggestions.

It is likely an issue with your router. Make sure the required ports are open.
