Trouble starting Civilization IV

Haven't played it in a while but now i try to start the game and Icon just shows up in the dock and bounces up and down for awhile but then just :(. I tried re-installing it and every thing

Any Ideas?

Are you on tiger? A quicktime update broke the game with the release of QT 7.6. There are patches available at aspyr's support site.
