Trouble with an encrypted disk

I cannot get my MBP with the most current version of Snow Leopard to mount an encrypted exFAT (as OSX calls it) formatted hard drive. I use this hard drive regularly on my Windows 7 computer with True Crypt but on my MBP I get an error saying "the MacFUSE file system is not available (71)." I cannot mount the hard drive in Disk Utility either.

If anyone has a solution please let me know. I did a search and found no solutions.
