Hello, all! I've been searching for an answer to this question everywhere, and as of yet I've been unable to find anyone with the same problem.

My apple hardware is a late 2013 retina macbook pro with 2.6 GHz i5, 8 gb ram, Intel Iris graphics and 2 thunderbolt 2 ports .

I just purchased two Dell u2415 monitors with a resolution of 1920x1200 at 60 Hz, and used the two Thunderbolt/mini DisplayPort ports to connect them both to my macbook for a dual-display desktop. The first monitor, attached to the port closest to the screen, displays picture perfectly, but the monitor attached to the other port displays a black border around a scaled image. I want to say it's under scan, but due to the lack of a control slider, I can't just change it. The issue is with the lower DisplayPort. If I flip the inputs, the problem changes monitors, and if I only install one display, it problem does not go away.

My sister has a late-2013 rMBP and when connecting the displays to her machine they display perfectly without a hitch, and when I go into my system report with both displays plugged in, both displayPorts say they're broadcasting the same resolution and refresh rates.

I've tried resetting the PRAM and the SMC (although admittedly the computer didn't really show any signs of response when holding ctrl, opt, shift and power, I tried a few times with everything but the power unplugged). I even tried reinstalling OS X, as it doesn't destroy user data.

My goal is to restore full functionality of the monitor plugged in to the bottom displayPort. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
