iPod touch Trouble with Ipod touch on home wi-fi

I have an apple extreme base station. The signal is great for my computer and two ipads but the three ipod touches and two iphones that we have in the home have a lot of trouble getting a good working wi-fi signal. I have it in a good spot in the house. It must be something else. Any ideas? Thank you!
 
What radio mode is your Extreme configured for? I recall something about iPod touches and iPhones not being able to join 5.0 Ghz networks?
