I had got the IMP70D battery pack (in 2011) for use with my iPhones and others devices. Since past few months i am facing this peculiar issue with the battery pack.
It does work fine and has a bundled curled up short cable, one end of which is a USB which goes and attaches to the battery pack and other has removable attachments for iPhone 30 pin, micro USB and mini USB.
The problem i have started to face is that i am unable to use the stock iPhone cable to charge my phone using this battery pack. I even tried the knock off cables, original cable etc but no dice. But the black curled cable (with attachments) that came with the battery pack works absolutely fine.
I am unable to figure out what the problem is.
Contrary to this, i also have an android device and for that i use a standard USB to micro USB cable (not the one that is with the battery pack) and it too works fine.
Only problem is incase of iPhone cable.
I tried with 2 iPhones and they both get charged using the black curled cable with adapter that came with the battery pack but no charging using original stock iPhone cable or ebay cheap cables.
Any idea what the problem might be and how to troubleshoot ?
I tried both the 1A and 2.1A USB ports on this battery and both not working with the mentioned cables.
This is the cable through which the iPhone charges but not through stock cable:
