Recently my friend used my iPad to check something. They opened a new window but then went to the Google search bar that is built in. Now every time I open a new window in Safari on my iPad it automatically goes to the Google search bar instead of the address bar. This is bothering me so much because I have to always tap back to the address bar.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or can I just get rid of the Google search bar because it is better to just go to the website anyway?

Did you recently update your iPad's firmware? As far as I know, going to the google search bar started happening after a firmware update -- I can't remember which one. I doubt it is related to your friend opening a new tab, or doing a search. In any case, I'm afraid there's no way to change this behavior. I know it's annoying, and I've seen other posters complaining about it, but nobody ever found a solution. Sorry.
