I have weekly videos I record that are about an hour in length. Because DV tapes are to expensive, I'v been just reusing them after taking video and backing it up to MPEG-2 (.m2v + .aiff) files with Compressor. I'm having trouble getting it transcoded back into a format I can work with. QuickTime isn't doing the transcoding. I keep on getting message that says: "can't export the movies because a bad public movie atom was found...".

Does anyone know what I should encode to for saving good quality video from a DV camera, so I can later edit it if need too? I'd like it to fit on a single DVD.
